LVMC Gear Policy
1.
All LVMC gear is
available for free use by any paid in full LVMC member. The only exception is
for technical rock climbing related gear.
2.
Rock gear is available
for free use in rock climbing outings where the outing is posted as a group
function and there are 3 or more members attending the outing.
3.
Unless other
arrangements are made, gear is available to be checked out and picked up during
the evenings of Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays preceding the days
planned for use. Gear is to be returned on the evenings of Tuesdays, Wednesdays
and/or Thursdays following the days the gear is used. All gear will be picked
up and dropped off at the residence of the Gear Director in charge of club gear.
4.

Gear Director ahead of time to schedule your pick-up/drop-off. See contact info
below.
5.
Members checking out
gear will be required to sign out gear and acknowledge the expected return day.
6.
Unless other
arrangements are made, failure to return gear at the expected time/place will
result in a deposit being required for future gear use. The required deposit
will be discontinued once member adheres to return policy. The deposit amount
will vary depending on the gearŐs value.
7.
Members borrowing gear are
required to report any change in condition of the gear as a result of their use
of the gear. This includes but is not limited to breakage, loss of parts,
excessive wear and tear and any other changes in condition that does or could
possibly alter the intended use of the gear.
